This was 4th different lodge we’ve tried out with our customers in 6 yrs. There will not be a 5th lodge. Dee and the boys at Hurricane Creek are top notch. Best food, hunting, and guides you are going to find 100%. Also having a professional photographer as a guide was a nice touch.

Dee and boys are absolutely top notch! I have hunted my whole life and spent many a day in stand! So I am your everyday serious hunter. I have never seen an operation this well ran and with the quality of deer these guys have.! This is an absolute must for any hunter that wants the experience of a lifetime. I just can’t say enough about Dee and the guys and just how much Dee cares about every hunters success! The food is amazing and the view is as well! Words really can’t describe the atmosphere and the professionalism that Dee as created at Hurricane Creek. My wife and I enjoyed a true experience of a lifetime on our visit. These guys make you feel like a part of their family. I can honestly say, they go over and beyond to ensure that you have the time of your life. The deer hunting is phenomenal and the guides are out of this world. I would like to thank the entire crew for their commitment to making sure we were well taken care of. I had the pleasure of hunting with my guide Philip, this guy is amazing and put me in a position to see wildlife that was truly magnificent. I finished my hunt with Dee as my guide. Words cannot describe how amazing this guy is, he is a true professional and goes beyond the call of duty. Guide Mike is awesome and has been taught by the best. The lodge as well as the grounds is truly one of the most beautiful places in the country. OMG, Miss Bobbie’s cooking is out of this world, you better be ready to loosen your belt a few notches. Believe me, if you get the opportunity to visit Hurricane Creek, you better jump on it and that is a fact! 100%

A hidden Alabama jewel! This lodge is amazing! My husband and I went on a hunt and were so very pleased. Awesome rustic accommodations for a comfortable stay, friendly knowledgeable staff that go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction, and food that had us all running to the table at every meal! The land and wildlife were absolutely beautiful. 10/10, you won’t want to miss out on this place! We will be going back next year! 100%!

If you are looking for a place to Quail Hunt look no further. I recently booked a hunt with a group of customers and the quail hunting far exceeded my expectations. Hunting birds in big pine timber woods brought an experience that you don’t normally get to appreciate. The birds were plentiful and the guides and dogs were on point. We had rain on one of our hunts and that didn’t stop the birds from flying and was amazing to watch the dogs work and point even in the rain. The accommodations are 1st class and the home cooked southern meals are excellent. After dinner we sat out by a big roaring fire place and swapped hunting stories. I will definitely book future quail hunts with Hurricane Creek.

Where to start… great people great atmosphere awesome food and great deer hunting I’m on my second morning hunt and it has already been a trip of a lifetime. Back in 2009 we brought my dad here for his last hunt. He was suffering from terminal cancer. The guys at Hurricane Creek were beyond amazing to my dad and worked around what he was able to do. I can never thank these guys enough. My dad was an avid hunter and on his last hunt he killed the biggest deer in his lifetime. So hats off to the guys at Hurricane Creek and I wish you guys nothing but success. P.S. the place is absolutely beautiful!!

I just got back from HCL a few weeks ago , this place was first class all the way. Dee really does a great job of making you feel at home and like part of the family, I got my biggest white tail ever and signed up before I left to come back during bow season this year. Well this is my 4th trip to Hurricane Creek (3 deer hunts and 1 turkey hunt) and I have scored on all 4 trips. 3 deer and 1 turkey. I love coming to this place. The lodge, the people, the food , and the hunting. I will be back next year and I have already payed my deposit. I can go on and on and still not give this place justice. Dee and people will go the next mile to make it a once in a lifetime experience. Mrs. Bobby prepares great meals and the guides will cater to your ever need. My guide for 3 years has been Logan and he knows what he is doing, like I said we have scored every year. We have made great friends, with other hunters and staff, and I am ready for next year. I was afraid this would be like hunting cage bred quail that won’t fly. It is not!!! These deer are wild!!! They have plenty of places to hide and they do. Come prepared to hunt hard. Having said that, I’ve never seen such incredible racks. The genetics of these deer are unbelievable. Dee makes the whole thing come together, and I can’t imagine having a guide better than Phillip. Breakfast is at 10:00. I promise you don’t want to miss breakfast!

I have hunted twice at Hurricane Creek and I had some of the most enjoyable hunting of my life. Dee and the guides will go the extra mile to help you connect with the deer you want. Don’t expect it to be a canned hunt with deer crowded in tiny pens. Not at all. You will have to work for your deer. Some days you might see nothing or only does. The buck in the below photo was brought in by rattling and shot at 143 yards. That being said, they have some monster bucks but you have to do your part to bag one. The lodge is very nice with comfortable beds and satellite TV. The best thing of all is the food. WOW, that cooking! Be prepared to be stuffed. The trip is worth it if you don’t do anything but enjoy the lodge and eat some of the best southern cooking you have ever had. The chocolate gravy is wonderful. I have my third hunt booked and I can’t wait.

Midpoint weekend gathering for 2 families turned out perfect! Dee and Ms. Bobbie make everyone feel so at home. Ms. Bobbie made breakfast, appetizers and dinner for two days, and it was all delicious! Dee gave a tour of the grounds – saw so much wildlife and enjoyed all of the education along the way. Spacious, clean and comfortable and everything we needed was right there. Just a wonderful place to stay!

I had a great time at Hurricane Creek Lodge in North Alabama on this Iron Bowl weekend. The folks’ hospitality made the place memorable and fun-filled! I had many opportunities to watch different deer come into the food plots, waiting on the perfect one. On the evening of day two I saw this deer, but unfortunately he never came into range. After the morning of day three, I was told they saw the same deer bedded down. We decided to go check and see if he was still there, low and behold he was. It took me a few times to get the perfect angle, but once I did, I nailed him! I want to give a big shoutout to my guide, Tyler and this extremely impressive lodge. Thank y’all for this opportunity, I will definitely be back!

Afternoon hunt took us to a ground blind that was surrounded by deer not long before dark. Tyler, my guide was absolutely awesome. The deer had us pinned down for about two hours. So many deer around us we simply couldn’t move. Finally we took a chance after seeing the buck I wanted and repositioned ourselves inside the ground blind without getting busted. The buck I wanted had already walked off by the time I got positioned to shoot. Five minutes later with very little daylight left he came back, and that’s the end of this story, now a memory I will share forever.
My hats off to Hurricane Creek Lodge in Vina, Alabama, Dee truly runs an awesome hunting lodge. Great food, awesome facilities, guides that bust their butts to make your hunt a great success, and plenty of trophy class bucks!!! Enjoyed my trip! ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!

Last year on my deer hunt in 2016 I decided to come back in April 2017 to turkey hunt. In all my years of hunting I had never bag a turkey. Well Dee you and your guides made it happen. I took a nice bird, about a 22 pound bird with a 9 inch beard. My wife came on the hunt to get in a little rest and that made it so much better for her to be there with me. We saw Toms every day . My family and I started going to HCL in 2010. Not only are the deer awesome, but the owners and staff are also great!! Not to mention the excellent food. The first year we went they welcomed us with open arms. We have been back every year except one (and dearly missed them then). We have developed a friendship that feels like family. They really know how to take care of you and will go above and beyond. We always look forward to going back every year. My kids love it as much as we do. HCL will not disappoint you at all!!

My hunt was over the Thanksgiving holidays and I can truly say this is the best hunt I have ever been on. My son and granddaughter were also on the same hunt. Not only did I bag a nice buck but she did also. Mine was a nice 7 point and hers was a big 9 point. The action is there if you want it. The lodge was great and the staff met ever need. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. I have already gave my deposit for the 2017 hunting season. I also am going back in April for a 2 day turkey hunt. I just want to say thanks for the great hunt!! I shall never forget this hunt – it was most exciting!! You and your staff are first class in my book. Over supper last night, I discussed with family how diligent you and the rest of the gang were to recover the deer I shot. As I was telling them, it dawned on me that you guys didn’t have to go to such lengths but you did. You could have said “Oh well, we tried.” Instead, you were determined and for that, I say thanks and I look forward to many, many more hunts!
